This study seeks to reveal the relationship between the level of school administrators' public leadership behaviors and teachers' public service motivation and professional commitment levels. In addition, this study sheds light on whether public service motivation has a mediating effect on the relationship between public leadership and professional commitment. In this study, in which the relationships between public leadership, public service motivation, and professional commitment variables are examined, measurement-based correlation pattern model was adopted. A structural equation modeling was proposed to provide stronger evidence for the relationships. The population of the study consists of teachers working in primary, secondary, and high schools in Siirt. From the population, 59 schools were randomly selected. The data collected from 384 teachers working in these schools were accepted as valid. In this study, data were obtained by the disproportionate cluster sampling method, which is one of the random sampling methods. The data of this study were obtained through the "Public Leadership Scale", "Professional Commitment Scale", and "Public Service Motivation Scale". Confirmatory factor analysis was applied to the scales. Then, the reliability analysis applied to the scales revealed that the scales were reliable. In the measurement model, it was determined that there were relationships between the variables in the study. According to the proposed structural model, school administrators' public leadership behaviors affect teachers' professional commitment attitude statistically significantly and positively. Professional commitment of teachers significantly and positively affects public service motivation. In addition, public leadership significantly and positively affects public service motivation both directly and indirectly, in other words, with the partial intermediary role of professional commitment. It is beneficial for school administrators who want to increase teachers' professional commitment and public service motivation to exhibit public leadership behaviors.
