The purpose of this study is to determine in what way and at what level the school administrators' authentic leadership behaviour affect the levels of motivation and mobbing experienced by teachers, according to the perceptions of primary and secondary school teachers. The study is carried out using the relational screening model. This study's universe constitutes a total of 882 teachers working in 38 elementary schools and 42 middle schools in Şırnak province center in 2015-2016 school year. In the research, “Authentic Leadership Questionnaire” was used to determine the authentic leadership behaviours of school administrators and “Questionnaire for Mobbing” was used to indicate the level of mobbing experienced of teachers and“ Motivation Questionnaire” was used to determine the levels of motivation of teachers. In this context descriptive statistics for variables were calculated using SPSS 21 for correlation analyses and AMOS 22 program for testing the study model. As a result of the study, it is determined that, according to the perception of the teachers, there is a positive and medium-level relationship between the authentic leadership behaviour of school administrators and the internal and external motivations of teachers; there is a negative and low-level of relationship between the authentic leadership behaviour of school administrators and the levels of mobbing experienced by teachers with regard to their duties and social relationships; and there is a negative and low-level relationship between the levels of mobbing experienced by teachers with regard to their duties and social relationships and their internal and external motivations. As a result of the path analysis, according to the perceptions of the teachers, the authentic leadership behaviour of school administrators increases the motivation of the teachers whereas it decreases their perceptions for the levels of mobbing experienced. However, it is determined as a result of the study that the teachers’ perceptions for the levels of mobbing experienced decrease as their internal and external motivation levels increase. The result obtained is that the authentic leadership behaviour of school administrators
is a stronger predictor on the levels of being exposed to mobbing in comparison to motivation.
