The efficiency and efficiency of the studies carried out by providing family participation in preschool education can be supported. The aim of this research is to reveal teacher views on family involvement in pre-school reading literacy studies. In this direction, 21 pre-school teachers working in four official pre-school institutions in the province of Adana were employed. In the research, general information form and semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers in the direction of expert opinions were used as data collection tool. In the general information form, questions about the teachers' gender, their professional seniority, the schools they graduated from, their educational status, and the schools they worked in were found. In the interview form, teachers' family involvement influences their preparation for reading and writing, their views on their competence in preparing families for reading and writing, their readiness for reading and writing in class and at school, which they direct for family involvement at home and in their readiness to read and write, as well as questions on the proposal for a solution to remove problems. As a result of the research, 21 teachers stated that while 8 is very important for family literacy in preparing for literacy, 11 can be given when needed and 2 is unnecessary. Besides, it was determined that family involvement has benefits such as reinforcement of literacy readiness studies, academic achievement enhancement, families are inadequate in this support and need help, teachers are involved in work such as line, number and transaction, basic concept studies to be done at home. It was determined that 5 of the teachers did not have any problems about family participation in their readiness to read and write, 3 occasionally had problems and 16 of them met some problems for various reasons. The main reasons for the problems faced by teachers in their family involvement in their readiness to read and write activities are inadequate and unconscious. The most basic solution to eliminate these problems is to inform and support the families. Moreover, another solution proposal was presented. there is also a need for parents to be encouraged (f = 4), a level of support which can be offer by families (f = 3), working of interrests and developments of the children (f = 2), a humanist approach to families (f = 1), teachers have sufficient information and interest and offer opportunities (f = 1),Key Words: Pre-school education, reading literacy, family participation.
