In this study, it was aimed to examine the authentic leadership levels of school administrators and their perception of social support from the family in terms of various variables. The research data were collected from school administrators working in private / public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education within the boundaries of Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul province. Authentic Leadership Scale, Perceived Family Support Scale and Personal Information Form were used in the descriptive research designed in the survey model. The participants of the study consisted of a total of 175 managers, 44 women and 131 men, through convenience sampling. As a result of the research, no significant difference was found between the authentic leadership and perceived social support perception from the family and the variables of gender, age, working year, management seniority, corporate seniority and educational status. A significant relationship was found between the perception of perceived social support from the family and the gender variable.In the study, it was revealed that there is a significant difference between the perception of social support that female school administrators receive from their families compared to male school administrators. In this case, it can be said that the family support of female managers is higher than male managers.In line with these findings, it may be suggested that school administrators should be informed about family support.
