The aim of this study is to examine the cases, reasons and implications of university students‟ task areas in the social responsibility. The study is conducted using a case study as a qualitative research method. Data was collected through interviews that were conducted with 13 university students who have previously taken part in at least one social responsibility project. The interviews were analyzed via descriptive analysis method. According to the findings of these analyses, the students generally participated in social responsibility projects regarding education, environment, and health such as, book donations, planting, environmental consciousness, holding briefings, first-aid and drug abuse courses, and donations to urban and rural schools. Findings revealed that the students met these projects via friends or student clubs. The students participated in these social responsibility projects because of the personal and social reasons such as, social awareness, self-development, conscience, experience, helping others, creating change, and citizenship consciousness. Taking part in social responsibility projects have led students to improve both personally and socially. Additionally, results exhibit that social responsibility was effective in the acquisition of skills such as communication, empathy, problem solving, leadership, entrepreneurship and responsibility. As a result, recommendations are presented to make students‟ participation more often in social responsibility activities.
