ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship among demographic variables of university students and their attributional complexity (AC), emotional intelligence (EI) and fluid intelligence (FI) scores. The studied demographic variables were gender, age, areas of education, faculty and classes. A total of 627 university students including 270 males and 357 females took part in the present study. The results showed that females FI scores were statistically higher than males‟ scores; 4th grade students‟ AC scores were higher than 2nd grade students‟. Also, the results indicated that as the ages of students increased FI scores decreased and AC scores increased. Additionally, it was detected that students in the faculty of education had the highest AC and EI scores when compared to other faculties. Moreover, students FI scores in Health School were higher than other faculties. Also, it was revealed that social sciences students‟ AC and EI scores were higher than the scores of students in natural and applied sciences. However, natural and applied sciences students FI scores were higher than the students in the social sciences.
