ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to identify the problems faced by the teachers in the two middle schools, which are merged as a result of the 12-year compulsory education transition law. The universe of the research consists of 48 teachers who started to work in a single school by merging two middle schools in Düzce. Seven teachers and a servant in this phase were randomly interviewed using a deliberately semi-structured form. In the process of unification, the problems faced by the teachers and the difficulties they faced were tried to be determined. One of the most important problems faced by teachers in the process of school consolidation has been the lack of knowledge in school unions and the lack of knowledge of what they will encounter in the new school. However, it has been found that teachers are more likely to adapt to such situations because they are state officials.
