In this study it is aimed to elaborately find out parental violence types which teachers are exposed to, in what ways they are exposed to violence and how physical and psychological violence of parents against teachers affect on teachers’ daily teaching practice. Recently, violence has been a social phenomenon which occurs in every layer of the society in different way. It is seen that the people which are exposed to the violence are affected physically and psychologically because of the violence and this violence has reflections on their personal, social and business life. This study is based on the data collected from 25 participants via face to face interview in Istanbul, Ankara and Duzce provinces of Turkey. Data were collected from semi-structured interviews. After face to face interviews, it is aimed to elaborately find out parental violence
types which teachers are exposed to, in what ways they are exposed to violence and how physical and psychological violence of parents against teachers affect on teachers’ daily teaching practice. Findings of the study show that parental violence against teachers differentiates depending on economic and social circumstances. It has been identified that teachers have occasionally shared what they experience with school administration and other teachers for a solution to get rid of the effects of the violence. This study has found out that some teachers have tried to get rid of the effects of the violence by taking medical aid.
