ABSTRACT
With the use of information and communication technologies in organizations, some changes have occurred in corporate communication. The process of change has required organizations to arrange and use new communication ways in a radical way that are suitable for information and communication technologies rather than including these systems in the existing traditional communication structure. Schools have been affected by this change process too and have started to carry out their communication processes through new communication technologies. With the research conducted in this framework, it was aimed to determine the administrators’ and teachers'
views on the use of digital messages in organizational communication by metaphors. The study is a phenomenological research from qualitative research patterns. A total of one hundred and thirty-three people, including one hundred two teachers and thirty-one administrators from primary, secondary, Anatolian and vocational high schools, participated in the study by filling out an online form.
According to the findings of the research, in the metaphors used by the participants about instructions which administrators give to their personnel via digital messages, the requirement came first. In the metaphors expressed by the participants regarding the digital messaging programs which administrators use to communicate officially with personnel, the acceptable communication channel ranked first. The digital messaging process can be made available in organizational communication with a local and national addition that can be added to the DYS system or EBA application so that the instructions transmitted through digital message applications become an acceptable communication
channel.
