The training and appointment processes of principals in our country are the issues that attracts attention. There are studies focused on the problems and solution suggestions. One of the solution is to train pre-service teachers to have school management skills. However, when the pre-service management experiences of students are evaluated, it can be limited to a small number of undergraduate courses and their acquisitions in internship experiences. Therefore, it is possible to discuss the process of preferring school administration in our country is under the influence of different variables rather than an academic orientation and choice. In this context, the aim of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between pre-service teachers' attitudes towards school administration and their personality traits and vocational values. In addition, it was also examined whether there is a significant difference in attitudes towards school administration in terms of gender and grade level. The sample of the research consists of 315 pre-service teachers studying at the Faculty of Education of a university located in the Central Anatolia Region in the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year and included in the research by convenient sampling method. Attitude Scale towards School Administration, Adjective Based Personality Test and Vocational Value Inventory were used as data collection instruments. Independent samples t-test, ANOVA test, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression analysis were used for data analysis. According to participants’ answers while a difference was found towards school administration according to gender, it was found that there was no significant difference according to the grade level studied. Also according to the ideas of participants, although personality traits do not significantly predict students’ attitudes towards school administration, openness to experience is positively related. In this study vocational values such as leadership, freedom, profit, help, creativity, teamwork, friendship, use of physical features and health values were found to be related to attitudes towards school administration. "Leadership and assistance" predict participated teacher candidates' attitudes towards school administration. Leadership is more predictive. It is recommended to develop and implement policies that will encourage female managers, increase management-related courses and experiences during undergraduate education.
