The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the senses of teachers about political tactics used at school and the level of teachers ‘school academic optimism. The research is in relational survey model. The sample of this research is consisted of teachers working in publics schools in Turgutlu district of Manisa province in the 2019\2020 academic year. The sample of this research is 433 teachers selected by convenient sampling method. In the research Political Tactics Scale and Academic Optimism Scale are used to obtain data. To analyze the research data One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Independent Samples tTest, Pearson Product-Moment Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis were used. According to the results gained by the research; teachers think that ingratiating, networking, impression management and coalition building dimensions of political tactics exist at moderate level at schools while scapegoating and increasing indispensability exist at a low level. According to the research findings teachers’ perceptions about existence of political tactics in schools differ according to school level variable. The senses of primary school teachers about political tactics existing in schools are lower than secondary and high school teachers’ senses. Teachers perceptions about political tactics don’t differ according to the variables of gender, professional seniority, duration of work at the same school, the level of school they work at and the number of teachers at school .Teachers ‘ level of academic optimism are medium. Teachers’ level of academic optimism don’t differ according to the variables of the level of school they work at, gender, their graduation level and the number of teachers at school .The level of teachers’ academic optimism differs according to the variables of duration they work at the same school and professional seniority. There is a moderate negative relationship between teachers’ perceptions about political tactics existing at school and their self–efficacy. Also there is a positive, low relationship between their perceptions about some political tactics’ realization at schools and their trust level. Lastly, in the research, teachers’ perceptions have no predict their academic optimism.
