The aim of this study is to evaluate the views of gifted students attending Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) on the project production process, to determine the problems they experience and the support they need. The study group consisted of a total of 10 students attending Tuzla BİLSEM in the 2022-2023 academic year, including 4 students in general talent, 3 in visual arts, 2 in general talent and visual arts, and 1 in music. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher and evaluated by content analysis method. According to the findings of the study, 60% of the students stated that they had an idea in mind when starting the project process, while 40% stated that they did not have any project idea. Especially students in the field of visual arts expressed that they lacked knowledge about the project development process and methodology. Students stated that they had difficulties in accessing Turkish academic resources and conducting research in English; however, they received support from their families, friends and advisors. It was observed that all students clearly knew their areas of interest and this awareness had a positive impact on the project idea development process. Participants also suggested that informative trainings or conferences prior to the project program would facilitate the process. These results suggest that gifted students need systematic support in the project production process and need to be introduced to project-based education at an early age.
