The purpose of this study is to examine several variables that influence the success of seventh grade students in Level Determination Exam and to study on the predicting degree of these variables. This study is a descriptive study and relational research. „Quality of Life at Primary School Scale‟ which contains the variables of the school characteristics, a strong family support, positive teacher attitude, peer relationships and effective classroom environment was developed and the personal information was also added to this scale. The final form of the scale was applied to 132 students in the province of Ankara. The findings gathered from statistical analysis of data were interpreted comparing with the related literature. The success of seventh grade student in Level Determination Exam differs by gender, educational status of the parents and class size. The results of the analysis, the success of seventh grade do not change significantly according to class size and gender, but the success of seventh grade students in Level Determination Exam changes significantly according to the educational status of the parents. School characteristics, strong family support, positive teacher attitude, peer relationships and effective classroom environment variables, which are contained by „Quality of Life at Primary School Scale‟, has a significant effect on the success in Level Determination Exam, but together, strong family support and the positive teacher attitude have a significant effect on the success in Level Determination Exam and effective classroom environment, the school characteristic and the peer relationships don‟t have a significant effect on the success in Level Determination Exam.
