The main purpose of this study is to compare the level of 21st century skills and social well-being of students in the foreign language field and other fields in high school. The study also tried to reveal the relationships between 21st century skills and social well-being levels in high school students. The sample group of the research consists of 402 high school students. 202 of the students are 11th and 12th grade students studying in the language department, and 200 of them are 11th and 12th grade students studying in other fields. Participant Information Form, Multidimensional 21st Century Skills Scale and Social Well-Being Scale were used as data collection tools in the study. Data showing normal distribution were analyzed with the help of parametric analyses. Independent group t test was used to compare the 21st century skills and social well-being levels of students studying in the foreign language department with those studying in other departments, Pearson correlation analysis for relationships between variables, and multiple regression analysis for causality examinations. In the study findings, when 21st century skills skills (Knowledge and technology literacy skills, Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, Entrepreneurship and innovation skills, Social responsibility and leadership skills, Career awareness) were examined specifically for foreign language classes, it was seen that students studying in these classes in each skill field received higher scores than their peers in other fields. Similarly, the social well-being levels of students in the language class were also found to be higher. Additionally, a positive relationship was found between 21st century skills and social well-being in high school students.
